- Favorite thing about Pilates: It just makes me feel good! I have learned that I can do so much that I never thought was possible with my body.
- Why I started Pilates: I wanted to become stronger in my core to prepare for the aging process. I have watched people close to me age dramatically in the past couple of years and I had the perception that these people were relatively healthy. As illnesses and injuries occurred, they were unable to recover 100% which led me to the realization that their bodies were not strong enough to take a setback. I wanted to be prepared for the future.
- How my body and life changed: My body has become stronger in every respect. I am more aware of the way I stand, bend, sit and move which in return allows me to use my body correctly. I no longer abuse my joints as I once did which resulted in constant knee joint pain and grinding. I have found that I do not get sick as often as I used to before Pilates. I seem to be able to fight off illnesses better. Pilates is truly the one form of exercise that I have embraced 110% because I feel better, stronger, and more confident and challenged. I can honestly say that this has not been the case with any other form of exercise I have tried in the past.
- Instructor and studio: The studio is peaceful, comfortable and extremely neat and clean. A perfect setting for Pilates. Kelly is the perfect combination of motivation and encouragement. I am one that has to understand the process and often get a visual of what I’m trying to accomplish. Kelly is very patient by explaining things to me in a way that clicks in my brain so I can do the exercise correctly and get the full benefit.
